About the Cycles

2003 – Aprilla racing mountain bike converted for cycle touring. Amazingly tough frame that withstood a lot of punishment and carried myself and 30 kilos of camping equipment from Oldenburg, Germany to Nottingham, UK and back – in two weeks.

2006 – Anthrotech recumbent trike. Another very tough cycle, and was my daily commuter, weekend shopper, moving truck, off-roader, and cross-country tourer for 5 years. It went through many transformations over the years, and now serves as the front end for a cycle-taxi in Copenhagen, Denmark – which I still use regularly.

2011 – Nomad Wildcat. A Steintrike Nomad Sport trike, with a Leitra Wildcat nose fairing. A low racer recumbent trike, this is the current all-weather daily commuter. Commute times across the city and across the region are cut nearly in half, thanks to it’s low profile and aerodynamic fairing.
